SmartKey SYSTEM DRIVER for WINDOWS NT/2000


1   LIST OF FILES

KEYP.SYS    : Kernel Driver for Windows NT/2000 Environment
SKEYADD.EXE : Utility to download the KEYP.SYS from the system kernel
SKEYRM.EXE  : Utility to upload the KEYP.SYS into the system kernel.

2   KEYP INSTALLATION NOTES

To install the KEYP.SYS Kernel driver please follow these steps:

- Start Windows NT/2000 and log-in as ADMINISTRATOR

- Execute the SKEYADD.EXE utility

- Reboot your PC

3   KEYP DISINSTALLATION NOTES

- Start Windows NT/2000 and log-in as ADMINISTRATOR

- Execute SKEYRM.EXE utility

- Reboot your PC

4   CHECK THE STATE OF KEYP

It is necessary to check the state of the KEYP.SYS in the folder Devices of
the Control Panel: KEYP must be STARTED and AUTOMATIC; if it is not active
it must be started.
If it does not start, most likely it has not been installed under the
\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS directory.
